Wilde Fun at Bellpark Primary School Carnival

This past weekend,  Bellpark Primary School held their annual Carnival which focuses on the pure enjoyment of the children with their friends and families.  Wilde 100% Fruit Juice sponsored one of the classes with goodie bags consisting of Wilde 100%, balloons and peak caps.


Wilde enjoyed seeing the joy in the children's faces at the carnival, having a great time at school with their friends and family.

Wilde helps raise awareness of substance abuse

On Saturday 11 February, both MTB and road cyclists competed at the Ninety Niner Cycle Race in Keuringswedren, which is one of the Cape Argus Pick 'n Pay Cycle Tour's seeding events.  Wilde has sponsored 100% Fruit Juice to this event for 5 years running, ensuring that all participants were well hydrated for the duration of the event.  


This year, the cycle race was focused on the plight of substance abuse in the Western Cape through its "Ride against TIK" campaign. Wilde sponsors at Wellington Sport Day 2012

On the 21st of January, Wilde sponsored 100% fruit juice at the highly successful Wellington Sport's Day which was hosted by The Centre for Multigrade Education in collaboration with M-Net and the Let's Play initiative.  The sport's day was held on the sports fields of the Cape Peninsula University of Technology, Wellington Campus, where many young lives were enriched by this special day with celebrities Dieter Voigt (presenter of Pasella) and Breyton Paulse (former Springbok wing).  Dieter was the MC for the day while Breyton delivered a very powerful motivational speech that covered goal-setting and commitment to achieving those goals.


180 Children from various corners of the Western Cape , Blouville Primary (Wellington), Bergrivier Primary (Wellington), Holvlei Primary (Hopefield), St Michael's Primary (Grabouw) and Welvaart Primary near Ceres, were brought to the sport day thanks to Paarl Rock Tours.


The sport's day is aimed at developing general motor skills which include: Coordination, rhythm, speed, laterality, agility, balance and other motor specific motor components.  The program was developed to measure the influence it has on the numeracy and literacy levels of the participating children.  For additional information on the sport day, click here.

Wilde Fruit Juice in Iran

Winners of Dirtopia's 24 hour Oak Valley mountain bike endurance race

In January, riders took part in the 24 hour Oak Valley mountain biking event hosted by Dirtopia.  There were over 300 riders and 500 campers who joined in on the adrenaline fueled weekend.  Riders of all ages enjoyd both night and day time riding along the picturesque 11km circuit.  Wilde was there to ensure that all participants were well hydrated for the duration of the event with 100% Fruit Juice.

Boland mountain bikers Dane Walsh (Somerset West) and Hanri Dalton (Stellenbosch) were victorious at the past weekend's 24 Hours of Oak Valley mountain bike endurance race presented by Spur Steak Ranches.


These two cyclist completed the most laps of the 11km circuit in a period of 24 hours as solo riders. Walsh completed 30 laps, while Dalton managed 19. The Open team competition was won by Rocky Mountain's Jarred Haley, Timo Cooper, Mike Jacker and Martin Freyer. They completed 46 laps.  
This year Dirtopia, organizers of the event, cut a new track for the event at Oak Valley - the wine estate that is now as famous for its mountain bike routes as its wines! There was a 250m climb in the 11km Dirtopia race where two thirds of the track was singletrack and the rest, woodland. 
Walsh was joined on the winner's podium by Hentus Baard (also 30 laps) and Lance Stephenson (26). "It was the best 24 Hour ever! The event was great," said Walsh.
Dalton had a titanic battle with Anneline Trivella. With her 19 laps she managed a victory with one lap! Another Stellenbosch mountain biker Dominique Provoyeur (14) finished third.
A team from Somerset West Helderberg Cycle World managed a second place in the team competition. Helderberg was represented by Stephan van Zyl, Martin Rodenbach, Pieter Gildenhuys and Christiaan Kampfer.
The Oak Valley Ladies open team - Elzaan Visser, Theresa Horn, Baredeen Zietsman and Mirian Stronkhorst - completed 24 laps. 
In the category for schools Paul Roos Gymansium was victorious against two teams from Paarl Gymnasium. Paul Roos / Giant Mavic team also won the Overall Team title.Edward Best, Stephan Senekal, Matthew Lombardi and James Buijs presented Paul Roos.
