The next First Ascent/Daisyway camp will be held from 16 to 18 July 2010 in the luscious Grabouw Area. The training puts riders through the paces of a multi-day event, so that they can be get an idea of the necessary training requirements and tactics needed to compete in large-scale races.

The 16 to 18 July 2010 training schedule aims to cover +-70 km per day for the Intermediate to Advanced groups, while focussing on their general technique and skill. There are also plans to start a Novice group, but the camp will need more than five riders doing +-30 km per day.

Timo takes on the Nine-to-Five challenge

Team Wilde's Timo Cooper took part in the sixth Dirtopia Nine-to-Five Mountain Biking Race on the 16th of June 2010 at the Delvera Farm. He joined other mountain bike enthusiasts for an action packed day, in which they aimed to finish as many 7 km laps as possible in an 8 hour time period.

Timo Cooper had to face competition from older, more experienced riders. Despite his junior status, Timo did exceptionally well and finished 19 laps in a time of 07:41:12, thus ending in 2nd place overall.

Hannes Cooper was on his feet the whole day to support his son during the race. Well done Timo, we're very proud of you.
