Prrrt-Prrrt! Training Camp

Wilde Fruit Juice sponsored fruit juice to the prospective refs who attended the WP Rugby Referees Training Camps between the 14th and 18th of June 2010.

The WP Rugby Referees, National and Provincial Panel Referees, as well as selected ex-Vodacom Rugby Squad Members shared their tips with the anticipating refs and gave them a bit of insight into what it takes to be a match official.

The young refs (15 and older) were given the complete IRB Referees/Assistant Referees' Level 1 course, while on-field instruction and positioning was also covered. All theoretical sessions were followed by fun on-field training, to give the learners an in situ feeling for the practical aspects of what they learned.

The WP Rugby Referees Training Camp was a wonderful opportunity to do something about the shortage of well-trained referees across South Africa. Wilde Fruit Juice is proud to have been part of this initiative.
