Kabous Marra and Alan Dawson represented Team Wilde at the DCM Cape Pioneer Trek, that took place from 18 to 23 October 2010. The team experienced their ups and downs, including fatigue, but they still managed to press on until the end.

Sharing a piece of ourselves. The DCM Cape Pioneer Trek was a challenge and definitely no walk in the park - especially when you consider the immense heat the riders had to face on a daily basis. The team was forced to take some days more relaxed than the others in order to rest out for the hectic challenges, like the epic 1 600 metres of climbing on day 4! On day 5, the determination of Team Wilde was put to the test. They didn't enjoy a good night's rest, while the route of the day consisted of possibly the toughest quarter of the race up Swartkloof Pass. In good spirits, the team pressed through to finish the trek!
A place we like to call home, even if it was only for a few days.
Ready as ever, yet so relaxed about it.
Don't be misled by the beautiful surrounds, this race was one great challenge.
Sometimes, the smallest pleasures are what matters the most. A well-deserved boerie, indeed.
