The Annual 99er Cycle Race

Wilde Pressed and Squeezed Fruit Juice was one of the proud sponsors of the 99er Cycle Race 2010, that took place at the Durbanville Racecourse on the 13th of February 2010.

The 99er Cycle Race started in 1999, hence the name. The event was planned to host a 99 km race, but has since then grown to cater for a broader spectrum of cyclists.

The 99er Cycle Race sports three routes, namely a 108 km, a 64 km, as well as a 28 km. This year, 3 208 riders participated in this official Pick 'n Pay Cape Argus event. Most riders had to prove their endurance as the new route included the demanding Vissershok climb to the finish line.

Numerous prizes were supplied by the proud sponsors of the event.

Let's get to know the team a bit better:

Andy and Keith have been racing in the 1/8th Buggy Class since 2007. Their impressive profiles pay homage to their capabilities on the track.

Club: 1st
Region: 2nd
National: 5th

Keith Busby's standings:

Region: 4th
National: 6th

Christiaan has been racing in the 1/8th Buggy Class since 2008.

Christiaan de Wet's standings:

Andy, Keith and Christiaan will be going to the 1/8th Buggy World Championship in November 2010. Danie will be competing in the 1/8th Buggy Class this year - so hopefully he will join the rest of the team at the 1/8th Buggy World Championships next year. Best of luck, boys!
